Thinking Processes and Inspiration Sources
|
1) Usually which process do you employ to bring your works to life? Can you elaborate a little more about the distinctiveness of your key thoughts and references? |
Some of my figurative works are a collection of paintings and drawings based on a certain theme and subject such as my Istanbul Series while others are stand alone works with a totally unrelated and different content. In creating those I am usually inspired by my observations of the environment I am in and outside world in general.
I create my geometric abstract works on the other hand via improvisation and without any planing and design process. Since they do not contain any narratives or convey messages, my geometric abstract works are of formalist nature and they are in a sense a reflection of my inner world.

2) What are your sources of inspiration? In which way do certain venues, people or experiences affect your creativity? |
Either figurative or abstract my works can be said to have a close connection with my personality. Aesthetic considerations rank high in priority for me being a person valueing visual appeal. In addition my principle based approach which favors order and which is devoid of perplexity is reflected on my works.

3) How do you define your art practice? Can you elaborate more on your style of expression? |
Although I am known to be an impatient and impetuous person, I contrarily do possess a patient and meticulous approach while painting. I also pay utmost attention that my works are as unique as possible. Like every painter’s desire for being appreciated by his/her works, uniqueness for me is also being able to reflect my style on my works without any concern.
